Who We Are
Business Buddy LLC is a Rhode Island limited liability company providing small business technology consulting, website development, automation, and related services. Our principal place of business is Smithfield, Rhode Island. We also operate an AI development lab under the registered fictitious business name 22u.ai.
Controller Designation
As required under the Rhode Island Data Transparency and Privacy Protection Act (RIDTPPA), Business Buddy LLC is designated as the Controller of personal data collected through these Sites. Contact Information
This includes your name, email address, and phone number, which you may provide when you fill out a contact form, request a quote, or subscribe to our newsletter.

AI Conversation Data
When you interact with our AI Development Lab at 22u.ai, we collect the text you enter into the chat interface. These conversations are stored and may be reviewed by Business Buddy staff to improve our services, respond to inquiries, and ensure the AI assistant is functioning appropriately.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
To Contact You
When you provide your name, email address, and phone number, you give us express consent to contact you via email, SMS (text message), or phone call regarding your inquiry, our services, or other relevant information. Form submissions are processed via our email service provider (Resend) and delivered to Business Buddy for follow-up. When you book a call, we use Cal.com to send meeting confirmations and related scheduling communications.
SMS Notifications
When you opt in to SMS notifications within a Business Buddy application, we use your mobile phone number to send transactional alerts relevant to your use of that application (such as reminders, schedule updates, and activity alerts). You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message or by updating your preferences within the app.
To Provide and Improve Our Services
We use your information to respond to your requests, provide client support, personalize your experience, and improve the functionality of our Sites.
To Send Marketing Communications
With your consent, we may send you promotional emails or newsletters about our services or other information you may find useful. You can opt out of receiving these communications at any time.
To Operate and Improve Our AI Services
Conversations submitted through our AI Development Lab at 22u.ai are retained and reviewed by Business Buddy to improve AI assistant performance, identify common client needs, and follow up on relevant business inquiries.
We Do Not Sell Your Personal Data
Business Buddy does not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration. This applies to all data collected through these Sites, including contact information, usage data, and AI conversation data. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
How We Protect Your Information
We take the security of your personal information seriously and implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect it from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

Service Providers

Current service providers include: Netlify (website hosting), Resend (email delivery), Cal.com (scheduling), Google Workspace (business email), and Anthropic (AI services at 22u.ai).

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information provided below. We will respond to your request within 45 calendar days. In some cases, we may extend this period by an additional 45 days where reasonably necessary, and we will notify you of any such extension.
Appeals Process
If we deny any request you make under Your Rights above, you may appeal that decision by contacting us at privacy@businessbuddyri.com with the subject line “Privacy Rights Appeal.” Please describe the original request and the reason you believe the denial was unwarranted. We will review your appeal and respond within 60 days of receipt.
Children's Privacy
Our Sites are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
