Who We Are
Business Buddy LLC is a Rhode Island limited liability company providing practical help with business systems, operations, automation, online presence, and related technology. Our principal place of business is Smithfield, Rhode Island. We also operate an AI development lab under the registered fictitious business name 22u.ai.
Controller Designation
As required under the Rhode Island Data Transparency and Privacy Protection Act (RIDTPPA), Business Buddy LLC is designated as the Controller of personal data collected through these Sites. We may collect the following types of personal information when you interact with our Sites or use our services:
Contact Information
This includes your name, email address, phone number, and information about your inquiry, which you may provide when you contact us through Joey, our AI assistant at 22u.ai, send us an email or text, call us, or book a meeting through Cal.com.
Usage Data
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand website traffic and how visitors use our website, including page visits and resource interactions. Google Analytics uses cookies and processes device and usage information, which may include your IP address, browser type, and operating system. We use it for traffic analytics only; we do not connect it to advertising accounts or use it for targeted advertising. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our Sites may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your browsing experience and analyze Site usage. You may configure your browser to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent. Note that some features of the Sites may not function properly without cookies.
Your theme preference and self-assessment answers are stored in your browser. The website does not submit your assessment answers to Business Buddy. You can reset your answers using the assessment's reset control or clear them through your browser's site-data settings. General website analytics operates separately from these saved answers.
AI Conversation Data
When you interact with Joey, our AI assistant at 22u.ai, we collect the text you enter into the chat interface, including any contact details you choose to share. These conversations are stored and may be reviewed by Business Buddy to improve our services, respond to inquiries, and ensure the AI assistant is functioning appropriately.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
To Contact You
We use the contact information you provide to respond to your inquiry, discuss requested services, and arrange or follow up on meetings. We use Resend for email delivery and Cal.com for bookings, meeting confirmations, and related scheduling communications. Providing contact details does not sign you up for a newsletter or a marketing text campaign.
Individual Text Messages
Business Buddy uses a mobile phone for individual conversations. We text you only if you have contacted us by text first or asked us to text you. We do not operate automated texting services or text-message campaigns. You can ask us to stop texting at any time.
To Provide and Improve Our Services
We use your information to respond to your requests, provide client support, personalize your experience, and improve the functionality of our Sites.
To Operate and Improve Our AI Services
Conversations submitted to Joey at 22u.ai are retained and reviewed by Business Buddy to improve AI assistant performance, identify common client needs, and follow up on relevant business inquiries.
We Do Not Sell Your Personal Data
Business Buddy does not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration. This applies to all data collected through these Sites, including contact information, usage data, and AI conversation data. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
How We Protect Your Information
We take the security of your personal information seriously and implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect it from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
Without your explicit consent, Business Buddy will never sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We may disclose your information only in the following limited circumstances:

Service Providers
We use third-party services to operate our Sites, communicate with you, and provide resources. These services may process information needed to perform their functions. They include:
- Netlify for website hosting.
- Resend for email delivery.
- Cal.com for scheduling and booking communications.
- Google services, including Workspace for business email, Analytics for website traffic measurement, YouTube for videos and thumbnails, and Sheets/Drive for templates and downloads.
- Anthropic for AI services at 22u.ai.
Embedded calendars, videos, and demonstration pages load content from their hosting services. Your browser connects to those services when that content loads. On businessbuddyri.com, video players load when you choose to play them; thumbnails may load earlier. Links to templates and downloads may take you to Google Sheets or Drive. Those services have their own privacy policies, including the policies linked above.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, such as in response to a subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
How Long We Keep Information
We retain personal information for as long as it is needed for our business purposes, such as responding to inquiries, providing services, maintaining business records, and meeting legal obligations. We do not currently apply a fixed retention period to every category of information. You may contact us about access, correction, or deletion as described below.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information provided below. We will respond to your request within 45 calendar days. In some cases, we may extend this period by an additional 45 days where reasonably necessary, and we will notify you of any such extension.
Appeals Process
If we deny any request you make under Your Rights above, you may appeal that decision by contacting us at privacy@businessbuddyri.com with the subject line “Privacy Rights Appeal.” Please describe the original request and the reason you believe the denial was unwarranted. We will review your appeal and respond within 60 days of receipt.
Children's Privacy
Our Sites are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
